Children with Special Needs are human beings who have the same rights as others, including the right to education in schools. In practice, however, there are still children with special needs whose learning needs have not been fully met at school, partly due to the lack of a strong curriculum system for them. The curriculum for children with special needs is an implementation of educational equality for all children in Indonesia without exception. This refers to Article 28H paragraph (2) of the 1945 Constitution, which states that every person has the right to receive facilities and special treatment to obtain equal opportunities and benefits in order to achieve equality and justice. This article examines the curriculum for children with special needs (CWSN), the theories underlying the curriculum for CWSN, and examples of its implementation, with the aim of providing readers with relevant information about the curriculum for CWSN in Indonesia and its application.
